HCS designed this program to teach residents how to reduce food insecurity by sustainably growing food locally.

 

The goal of this program is to improve the quality of life and provide access healthier food choices for residents. Participants are provided all materials and supplies need for instructions and a basic start-up kit.

 

HCS is a recognized by the Cooperative Gardens Commission as a Seed Hub. The Seed Library is available for residents of Orleans, Jefferson, St Bernard and Plaquemines parishes to obtain seeds at no cost.
